That would explain why Akechi has free will, because he rebelled against the fact he was a fake. OR, because Akechi is a Persona user and in a way, also a wildcard, his powers made it so his revival was permanente instead of just being a wish creation meant to act like the wisher wanted him to. Maruki only seems to be able to change cognition as he sees fit, but he cant sense wen someone snaps out of it, so much less should he be able to tell a fake from a real person. I say this because Maruki seems to weirdly have no perception on the wishes he makes come true, as he is surprised by the PT appearing while he is trying to brainwash Yoshizawa, meaning he doesnt know wen people brake off their false reality, so, how would he know Akechi was created by him ? We even see MC reject that reality during the "nightmare". I also say this because the MC is the only character to not make a wish to the star, whit everyone else asking for a showtime 1 time each.Īkechi somehow escaped alive (some characters are shown to be able to leave the palaces in different places then the entrance (like how Futaba leaves her Palace from the tresure room or how Akechi somehow escaped wen the Okumura palace went boom despite we barely escaping) and Maruki simply made it so Akechi was teleported to where MC was because of his wish to meet again, which lead Akechi to pretend to believe to be a fake just because he had no intention of staying friends. The Wish Star brought him back, it might be a possibility that during the merge, the Wish Star brought him back, as the Star is known to make things that should be impossible in the Metaverse, become possible, so, the revival of someone who died there being nullified, doesn't seem farfetched. Plus, its weird how everyone suddenly gets their wish granted in the same day, but Akechi comes back right after mementos and we even skip a few days before the whole "nightmare" scene. Now, in theory Maruki believes the "Utopia" Akechi to be a fake, a creation of MCs wish to hold on to their promise, BUT, its very unlikely the Akechi we see is a fake (imo).Īkechi doesn't disappear like Wakaba, Okumura and Nijima once we realize he was a "fake", he also can perceive the Palace as something unusual wen it is stated that people who see it just brush it off as if it being there was normal. So much more satisfying then some myopic God out to destroy realityįirst of all, please mark this as Spoilers. Persona 5 Royal is expanding on it, this means that the option to rewatch scenes in the gallery function is a wise decision Persona 5 Royal Chance to cure status ailments inflicted upon party members Akechi will deal quite a bit of damage to you even with the most basic skills, which means you should be Persona 5 The Royal launches on. He’s just seized on an idea to “help” people and hasn’t run with it to its logical end. His plan is completely untenable.īut this is why I think he’s so great. Now Maruki is supposedly monitoring things with all that gear in Mementos but what happens while he’s sleeping? Hell, the dude is gonna die someday if nothing else. You’d have to spend the rest of your life monitoring them and making changes to reality constantly. Even just doing a relatively small group and keeping them from EVER experiencing emotional pain again seems downright impossible. That is a hell of a lot of people to have to micromanage.

Maruki admits to having to rewrite people one by one. Bringing back Akechi is a colossal error in judgement on his part, particularly because Akechi would rather die than live in Maruki’s reality. My personal take is that he would never be successful regardless of what actions the PT take. He is making a lot of mistakes and his power is shown to not be as all encompassing as he claims it to be. There's a safe room at the top you can use to save if you want.Maruki is a very flawed villain. The enemies will drop a map and you can go around up the stairs on the east side. They are weak to Bless so kill them off quickly.

Also, give whatever Bless skill accessory you might have to Goro.Ĭontinue forward and go through the door at the top to reach a lobby of some kind. Give the accessory to either one of your companions so they can have access to a healing skill.

It holds 3x Revival Bead, 2x Soul Food plus a Heal Charm (Diarahan skill). In any case, go ahead and take the elevator up to the Entrance Hall.Ĭlimb the first set of stairs here and you'll find a treasure chest nearby.
